Files are back! Not only files, but links, embeds, and all of the other items that you include in your message posts are now stored in your own personal library.

The Library

Our new, intelligent Library automatically saves any link, embed, or file that you have ever sent or received. In the Library, you can easily find and manage all of your resources. You can find, view, archive, and delete any of your files and web resources by group, message type, and eventually tags.

Posting messages from the Library

When posting an assignment, a link, or a file, there is now an option to attach resources from your Library with ease. It has never been easier to reuse and share your resources.

Preload your files and assignment resources

Many teachers prepare assignments and find resources to use in their classes prior to actually sending these out to their students. To preload your files and web links and resources, simply send them to yourself, and they will automatically be added to your Library and will be ready for use when you need them.

As always, we love to hear from you

Let us know how you’re using the new Library feature in the edmodo group, and let us know how we can make it better!

  1. Great new features. Edmodo keeps getting better and better.

whats the file space for each account?

  3. Jeff O'Hara says:

Each file must be under 100mb in size. We currently do not limit the number of files at this time or total space a person uses.

  4. Mr Molloy says:

It would be nice if files/alerts/etc could be loaded with the option of a release date. That way I could load up all the work on the weekend and have it progressively released during the week that followed,

So far, I’m loving this. However, I am logged in as a student while experimenting with Library, so I uploaded a document. Instructions say I should see a Delete option after I select my uploaded document–not there. Hmmm….is it because I’m using Chrome, or is that option only available to teachers?

  6. Angelniehanna says:

I think you should be able to just delete it from the library. I can delete a group but the file is still there.

    • Cartlalya says:

ya thats true. i try to delete but once it’s been posted it’s like it’s permanently there. even if you delete the post-the file is still there. i’ve deleted things before but i forgot how to do it and now what i thought i did to delete isn’t working.

  7. Every great advance in natural knowledge has involved the absolute rejection of authority.

I have an edmodo site, and now all my library files are gone.  They were there yesterday, but now they are gone.  Any ideas as to what the problem is?

  9. How can I move pupils from one group to another? Pupils have been given the wrong code and therfore are in the wrong group. Without removing them from a group and issueing the correct code is there another way?
