Site Currently Undergoing Maintenance

We apologize for the current outage on the site. As you know, our goal is to ensure Edmodo is always available; however, from time to time we take the site down during off hours to to release new features and enhancements.

Last night, we released some enhancements to the site — although our goal is always to have minimal downtime as a result of a release, we’ve had some minor issues this morning, which we are all currently working at the speed of light to resolve.

The site should be back up momentarily – we’ll keep you updated.

    This website update was extremely inconvienent today. I had an assignment on Edmodo for the students to do, and we we got to the computer lab, the site was not up. I had to run and make copies while another teacher watched the class and because of this, my students are behind. And they cannot “turn in” the assignment on Edmodo like I had planned.

    I now know not to rely on Edmodo to be up and running when I need it. I was excited to use this because I wouldnt have to make so many copies of everything; but now I know I will still need to make assignments paper-based.

    it would have been much better if this maintenance time had happend later on after school was done.

      Although I wish it had been under different circumstances, thank you for taking the time to post. My apologies for the downtime this morning – our goal is always to do site enhancements during off hours. This morning’s maintenance was a result of a release we implemented last night and was unfortunately unavoidable. We take our responsibility to our educators and students very seriously and sincerely regret any inconvenience it caused you and your class.     HELP!!! PLEASE!!
    My entire ‘Library’ has simply disappeared! I fortunately have it all in one particular folder, but I can’t seem to find a way to get it back into the Library.
    It’s also not very helpful that you offer no means to contact you directly. This is an extremely frustrating and discouraging experience…

    I have a blog to do for my english class that is due friday. i got on so i could do it early and receive comments from my teacher about things i should change. this was EXTREMELY inconvient for me!!!!!!

    This mantaince is very inconvinent, I had to finish 7 assinments for tommorow and I can’t even see what they are. Terrible, site mantainances should happen less and when it is night for most countries.

    I am sorry to say this, as I usually find this site quite helpful but……. I am outraged that you decide to do maintenance on your site the week before HSC exams start. I have been trying to communicate with my teachers and I sent them practice responses but because you are ‘DOING MAINTENANCE!’ I am unable to access the comments they have given me back. I think that this is outrageous, I should be able to rely on this site as I tool, but in this case it has let me down.

    • Amy – We apologize for the inconvenience. We try to do maintenance as quickly as possible (in last night’s case, 1.5 hours) as not to interrupt your work flow, however, they are necessary to ensure you’re getting the best experience.
