This post has been very helpful Bianca. I've been using tags so that students can find assignments easier. What you've enlightened me to is the ability to share a folder with a group. We'd been discussing that in my staffroom, but our solution was to use tags. We'll now look at shared folders for things we want students to refer back to etc. Thankyou

Great idea! This is a great alternative to the 'web quest' as the students don't need to navigate away from Edmodo.

Wow, Bianca - another fantastic post!

I hadn't considered the possibilities of using Edmodo in this way, but I know for a fact that your post could sell some of our senior years teachers on the use of this tool to roll out resources to their students.

I completely agree with you about the collaborative nature of Edmodo being one of it's strongest assets, but the 'hack' that proposed in this post looks like it should work wonders...

See you in Philly :-)

This was SO helpful! I just attended a quick intro to Moodle, but left early because it was so detailed and techie. Your Edmodo how-to was quick, detailed enough to help me get the big picture and specific steps, and best of all, I LOVE Edmodo. I teach gifted students in a pull-out program, and I see how this could work beautifully for a number of units I do. Thanks so much for the great explanation, and Welcome to the U.S.! Hope your trip is wonderful!.
