Polar bears. Scientists. The Arctic!
It’s hard to imagine a more exciting classroom experience than joining a live, free webcast from the tundra during the peak of the polar bear migration near Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.
We are thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with Polar Bears International to host 3-days of global webcasts for the Edmodo community. On November 14, 15 and 16th, a panel of leading scientists and educators will be broadcasting live from a Tundra Buggy® as wild polar bears prowl outside! And — it gets even better – Edmodo Feature Blogger Andy McKiel will be joining the expedition! During the webcasts, students will have the chance to learn first-hand about climate change, oceans, polar bears, and other arctic animals by engaging with these experts.
Next week we’ll post more details and registration information about each day’s webcasts as well as the other expert panelists who will be joining Andy on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Sound exciting? Join the Polar Bears International Community on Edmodo to receive updates about the event, access free teaching and learning resources and join the conversation on how to get your classrooms involved.
