Exciting news from Education Nation this morning as NoRedInk, coached by Edmodo COO Crystal Hutter, won the 2012 Citi Innovation Challenge.
The challenge features three teams of young innovators from around the U.S. who compete in a series of trials. NoRedInk was recognized as the team with the best solution for improving education and was awarded $75,000 in this morning’s pitch competition at the 2012 Summit.
Teachers with access to the latest version of Edmodo can install the newly launched NoRedInk app through the Edmodo Store. The app helps students improve their grammar and writing skills by creating content from their favorite celebrities, friends, and personal interests.
Last year’s Challenge winner, Class Dojo, has seen tremendous success in the past year, gaining more than 3.5 million teachers and students in more than 30 countries.
Congratulations to the team at NoRedInk, and all the teams who competed in this year’s challenge!

Richly deserved! A great idea that hits a key area for students. For once I can concentrate on focused guidedlearning instead of slogging through marking.
First off-love your site. I have big plans.
