Wednesday, August 7, was a great day for the Edmodo Community. In case you missed it, August 7 marked the third annual EdmodoCon. This free, live-streamed conference attracted nearly 27,000 registrants, representing over 170 different countries.
Participation From Around the Globe
EdmodoCon invited educators from near and far to share creative and strategic ways in which they use Edmodo and other digital education tools in the classroom. It was an opportunity for “teachers to attend workshops and PD from the comfort of their own homes,” according to EdSurge, one of the leading Ed Tech blogs.
Thousands of educators joined in from their personal computers throughout the day, while many local Bay Area educators attended live. During the event, attendees were able to post questions in the EdmodoCon Community, as well as live-tweet with the hashtag #edmodocon. With over 6,000 mentions on Twitter throughout the day, EdmodoCon was a trending topic in the U.S. These thousands of tweets encompass the excitement, curiosity, and passion within our Edmodo users.
@McTeach summed it up best when he said that EdmodoCon was just “too much #educawesomeness to handle!”
