Last year, we partnered with Common Sense Media to create a new resource for educators: the Digital Citizenship Starter Kit, which included activities and lessons designed to help teachers introduce digital citizenship concepts within Edmodo. Since then, and in response to educator requests, we’ve made some updates.

Just in time for Digital Citizenship Week (Oct. 21- 25), the latest version is now available in the Digital Citizenship community on Edmodo! Join and you’ll gain access to:

  • A “Getting Started” Kit. Download the introduction letter and the “We the Digital Citizens Pledge” poster, complete with lesson plan.

  • Digital Citizenship Modules. Get five digital citizenship lessons covering Cyberbullying, Internet Safety and Security, Relationships and Community, Digital Identify and Information Literacy. Each lesson includes an Edmodo activity to get the conversation started with your students, as well as a deeper lesson plan from Common Sense Media. All lessons are based on Common Sense Media’s free K-12 Digital Literacy and Citizenship curriculum.

Visit the “Collections” section of the Digital Citizenship community today to access the kit and get the conversation started in your classroom. Join the Digital Citizenship community.
