Whenever and wherever you teach, you always keep the best interests of your students in mind. Because that includes the time you spend on Edmodo, we’re always developing new ways to help you keep them protected.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety and security of our network, we’re launching a brand new verification process for Edmodo teacher accounts. Just as Group Codes and Join URLs help to ensure the privacy of your groups and the students in them, getting your account verified will help us ensure that everything and everyone on Edmodo is relevant and reliable.

You only need to verify your teacher account once, and there are several ways to get started after logging in:

  • Join your school or district network. Enter the code provided by your school or district administrator and get verified in an instant.
  • Get connected. Know other educators already verified on Edmodo? Invite them to connect with you; once they’ve accepted your request, you’ll be verified.
  • Upload a verification form or photo ID. Literally show us who you are with a school badge or government-issued ID, or simply print and sign a teacher verification form.
  • Complete an online form. Share some information about your professional credentials (e.g. education, certification, lesson plans) to help us verify you.

To reinforce our ongoing commitment to privacy, any new, personally identifiable information you provide will be deleted once your Edmodo teacher account is verified. Yet another safeguard we’ve built in to keep your data protected, so all you have to focus on is teaching.

Edmodo is dedicated to building a network that keeps its members as safe and secure as possible. With your help, we can do our best to ensure that the resources and connections you find on Edmodo continue to be ones you can trust.
