RoomToRead_logo_color_largeLooking for a way to teach your students how they can impact the world around them this holiday season? Join us in supporting Room to Read.

Room to Read believes changing the world starts with educating its children, specifically through literacy and gender equality. By partnering with communities and local governments across Asia and Africa, Room to Read works to develop literacy and reading skills among primary school children, and give girls the life skills they’ll need to succeed in school and beyond.

Over the years Room to Read has worked with hundreds of schools in more than 30 different countries, thanks to the support of its partners and teachers like you; those with enthusiastic and passionate students who want to help change the world. Through its grassroots program Students Helping Students, both teachers and students can learn about important social issues, develop cultural awareness, reflect on the importance of education in their own lives, and help support access to life-changing education for their peers in Asia and Africa. One classroom in Australia got involved for just one day, and through fundraisers like “drop everything and read” and “embarrass your teacher,” it raised more than $500 to support Room to Read’s efforts in Cambodia.

As part of the Edmodo community, we’re making it easier than ever for you and your students to get involved. With a dedicated fundraising website and ways to provide support within Edmodo, your school can make a difference like never before.

Help bring literacy and a quality education to children everywhere this holiday season!
