goopen_blog_thumbA long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, a resource sharing platform was born on Edmodo. It was a period of content overload. Decoy content was infiltrating classrooms, and imperial troops prevented teachers from obtaining high-quality web-based resources.

Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet, a group of freedom fighters, led by Edmodo Spotlight, established a new sharing paradigm. In a stunning move, Edmodo Spotlight created a haven for sharing, collecting, and discovering helpful resources all within Edmodo’s global platform.

In collaboration with the Department of Education’s initiatives, Edmodo Spotlight will be featured at the #GoOpen Exchange at Skywalker Ranch. The gathering will celebrate openly-licensed educational resources and kick off the sharing between platforms via the Learning Registry. Teachers and schools will be brought over from the “dark side” by having access to vetted materials no matter where they start their search.

Join Edmodo Spotlight in the fight against the “dark side” by sharing your favorite free Spotlight resources on Twitter today using the #GoOpen hashtag. May the force be with you!
