We believe in the importance of connecting classrooms to the world; Edmodo is a global education network that helps connect all learners with the people and resources needed to reach their full potential. In April, Edmodo was pleased to host the first Global Leadership Summit at our headquarters in San Mateo, Global Education DayCalifornia. If you missed all the action, check out the convening recordings and Global Leadership Week resources curated by the Global Education Conference Network.

Next, Edmodo is excited to participate in a face-to-face meeting for globally minded educators taking place at the International Society for Technology in Education Conference (ISTE) this June. We hope that Edmodo fans interested in globally powered teaching and learning will register for this free networking event entitled Global Education Day.

Global Education Day is a three hour meet-up held just before the opening keynote at ISTE on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2-5 PM.  During this interactive session, global education experts will give exciting ignite talks, facilitate roundtable discussions on a variety of topics, and show off interesting tools and resources that will help you connect your classroom to the world. Edmodo and its ambassadors will be actively involved with these activities. Global Education Day is a great event for building your global professional learning network and for discovering how others are using digital tools and resources to help students learn about and with the world.

If you aren’t planning on attending the ISTE conference, don’t worry….participants will be sharing their conversations and notes in a series of Google Docs and in an Edmodo Topic.  Bookmark this agenda, follow this topic and take part on the action on Twitter using the hashtag #globaled16!

For those attending the ISTE conference, don’t forget to stop by and see us in the expo hall at booth #2331!
