Learning a new technology can be rough, especially with so many different networks and accounts. Well, now you can use Edmodo with your favorite Google and Microsoft products to streamline your experience! You can easily move between the Edmodo platform and the productivity tools you use every day. This fully integrated solution empowers students and teachers to create and collaborate online, which in turn levels the playing field for students and educators worldwide.
Google users will love Edmodo’s integration with Google Drive. Teachers and students can view Google Drive items directly from the Edmodo Library or Backpack and attach them to assignments and notes. Additionally, we’ve recently updated the look and feel of this integration so it’s now easier than ever to see and organize Google Folders. We will also be adding additional features, including an improved way to change permissions as well as the ability to create copies of Google Docs when sending them out.
If you’re not a Google user, don’t worry! Edmodo has also teamed up with Microsoft to offer integration features with Office 365. Teachers and students are able to open, create, and edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files in Edmodo by simply clicking the Office icon in the apps launcher. Users can also view OneDrive items directly from the Edmodo Library and attach them to assignments and notes, as well as access additional tools including Sway, OneNote, and Mix. In the coming months, we’ll be rolling out additional features including the ability to co-author and track changes in compatible Microsoft files.
Whether you use Google or Microsoft, you’ll enjoy the ability to seamlessly create and login to your Edmodo account with your Google or Microsoft credentials; there’s no need to keep track of multiple logins. This school year, you can use your favorite tools to manage your classroom on Edmodo by harnessing the power of Google and Microsoft. The choice is yours!
