Cultivating Community Stories #EdmodoChat

For May’s first #EdmodoChat, Buncee and Sharon Clark hosted a discussion on how to capture and share stories from your school community.

Things started off with an ice breaker question about inspiring stories from the last school year.

Community stories aren’t just school events. They’re news about the school and stories from students when they’re away from the classroom too.

Stories come from across the community too. The discussion then turned toward spotlighting diversity and mentoring.

After that, the chat focused around amplifying and advocating for student voices in the community.

Jumping from the “why” of sharing student stories, the discussion turned to “how”, by asking about resources and tools.

At the end of the chat, Buncee, Sharon and Edmodo wrapped things up with a thank you for everyone who participated!

Don’t miss the next twitter chat on May 20th about Media Literacy in the Classroom. See you then!
